How long do you sleep at night every day? Anoop Shankar and his research team at West Virginia University, USA, reveal, sleeping more or less than seven hours per day increases the risk of heart disease.
As quoted by The Times of India, the conclusions of this study were obtained by analyzing data collected from the U.S. national study of 30 000 adults.
The study found that those who sleep patterns of nine hours or more per day had 1.5 times the risk of heart disease than those who have a pattern of seven hours sleep per day.
Meanwhile, they are less 60-year-old who has a habit of sleeping five hours or less each heart has a risk of heart disease are three times more than those who have a habit of sleeping for seven hours per day.
According to the researchers, short sleep duration is associated with angina pectoris or better known as the wind. Although the duration of sleeping too little or too much associated with heart attacks and strokes.
However, researchers can not point to the relationship between sleep duration and the risk of heart disease detail. They just say that sleep duration affects the endocrine and metabolism.
