Laser eye surgery cost is one of the main reasons that puts people off having laser eye treatment but there are many clinics out there that are now reducing their prices. Although prices are not as cheap as you see advertised on the television, most people will be able to get a good deal if they shop around. Cost however should not be the primary motive in choosing your laser eye surgery clinic as you should also consider the clinics laser eye surgery results. There is no point finding a cheap clinic if they are not likely to give you the vision you have always wanted. The main aim of having the surgery is to get perfect vision so you no longer have to wear glasses or contact lenses. You should research your clinics carefully and be sure to ask them how good their results are.
Lasik and Lasek are both similar prices but you will have to pay more if you want to have the premium options that are wavefront and Intralase. Both these add on options generally result in a safer and more accurate procedure, so if money is no object you should definitely go for them!

The Internet. A fantastic resource. You can buy almost everything in it. If there is something you can not buy, it’s probably not worth buying anyway. In my personal experience, outside of buying the usual things, like small appliances, DVD, etc, etc. I also bought a car online and once I even bought the house in France on the Internet (while living in Australia)! But I’ve noticed that Americans seem to have the largest selection of all? The only time I looked and found something I want, the price, I would pay to be frustrated by the very high shipping costs or normal “is only available ..”
Buying glasses UK online used to be the same. But no more, as an optician in the United Kingdom opened its doors to online shoppers. Now you can buy prescription glasses in the UK! The bonus is that the same optical lenses available on the main street are also available for a fraction of the cost!

The study of the genetics of a rare hereditary disease called hard skin syndrome, researchers at the Johns Hopkins Medicine have learned more about scleroderma, a disease that affects about 5,000 people which led to a hardening of the skin and other debilitating and often fatal problems. The findings, appearing this week in Science Translational Medicine, the doors open to experimenting with new treatments. “Scleroderma is a mystery still common and often devastating yet their cause. My greatest hope is that this work will facilitate the development of new treatments and better,” said Harry C. Dietz, MD, Victor A. McKusick Professor of Genetics and director of the Johns Hopkins Center, William S. Smilow Marfan Syndrome Research.
Also known as systemic sclerosis, scleroderma usually affects previously healthy young adults, causing scarring of the skin and internal organs that can cause heart and lung failure. “Often, people with scleroderma have no family members involved, excluding the use of genetic techniques for mapping genes of the base. Instead, he went to a rare hereditary skin fibrosis isolated syndrome called Die Hard , with the hope of getting into the cellular mechanisms that may be relevant to both conditions, “said Dietz.
